c1980s Yamaha AE-1200 Hollowbody Archtop Sunburst (MIJ)
Made In Japan S/N# 001364
The 1200 was in production from around 1978 to at least 1994 in various forms. The original model to about 1984 then replaced by the 1200S followed by an Sii and an S111. Some of these guitars are made in Japan and some in Taiwan.
Body: Bound Beech and Birch with laminated Spruce top
Neck: Bound Maple set neck C profile
Fretboard: Ebony 20 frets split block inlays 350mm radius
Headstock: Black bound in white with two black stripes Yamaha in capitals swirly logo black on white truss rod cover with AE 1200 in script
Tuners: Yamaha diecast
Pickups: 2 Yamaha Humbuckers with coil tap
Controls: Black with silver tops 2 volume 2 tone push push for coil split
Hardware: Gold
Bridge: Ebony with Ornate twisted wire Trapeze tailpiece
Pickguard: Tortoiseshell
